We are so excited to start working on Matilda Jr. The Musical with all of you! In order to make you feel the most prepared for your audition day, please be sure to carefully read the instructions below, and reach out if you have any questions. We are always happy to help!

Audition Materials 

DANCE

We will begin with a short group dance audition. Please arrive dressed in clothing suitable for movement, with hair pulled back away from your face. Shorts must be worn under any skirts or dresses. For your safety, please wear comfortable, closed-toed shoes, such as sneakers.

VOCAL & ACTING

Each participant will have the opportunity to read a short monologue and sing a short song.

We have provided a choice of audition songs and acting sides, available HERE.

Please use only the music that we have provided. You may sing only one song for your audition.

You are encouraged to try to memorize your song and your lines, so that you can feek confident and have fun! However, if you would like to hold your script during your audition, that is perfectly fine, too.
